Within this segment, I will be discussing the many aspects of tourism that are toxic to the preservation of various cultures. The commodification of social traditions and the use of dramatic stereotypes have progressively become apparent in areas where tourism remains a major component in the local economy. What is healthy for a country's economy is not necessarily healthy for the continuation of cultural traditions.
